Deletion Request
Request for your account to be deleted
You can request for your account to be deleted along with your personal information stored by Crumple. Your receipts cannot be deleted as the transactional data contained within them are used by the businesses for their own sales tracking, day-to-day running of their business and tax as well as legal purposes however upon deletion of your account no personally identifiable information will be retained linking you to those receipts.
Once the deletion request is completed you will not be able to restore any of this deleted / unlinked data. It is your own responsibility to ensure you have made appropriate copies of your Crumple digital receipts for your own legal and compliance reasons including (but not limited to) proof of purchase, item returns, tax, business bookkeeping and so on.
Once you have confirmed your account deletion request below the process will begin, and you will have 7 days to log back in to your Crumple account which will terminate the account deletion process. This delay is to ensure accidental or malicious attempts to delete your account have a grace period.
You will receive an email confirming your request, a follow-up reminder email one day before the deletion date and a final email once the account deletion is complete.
You can make an account deletion request in the Crumple app under the "Settings" tab once you are logged in.
